Off-Grid Reliability
Each Tesla Solar Roof tile produces 72 W maximum. Rely on your lights and air-conditioning even during grid outages, by combining your Solar Roof with the Powerwall home battery. When the system is producing more energy than it is using, a Powerwall stores clean energy. This can be used when you need it, for EV charging or any other purpose.
The app lets you monitor energy production, storage, and consumption from almost anywhere. You can optimize the system for storing energy, anticipating a possible outage, or for saving money on your utility bill. Some utilities charge peak and off-peak pricing. Others offer rewards for trimming consumption when needed or feeding surplus energy into the grid.
