At Algoma Hardwoods, it means doors that are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. Algoma was the first major door company to secure this certification, having been certified by Smartwood, an FSC accredited certification agency. At Algoma, we work to maintain our certification and undergo annual audits to ensure that we comply. Since first getting our certification, we’ve shipped many thousands of FSC certified doors.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – LEED: Green Building Rating System™ encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.
